2.Precautions for front mold processing of CNC machining center
①Sequence of tool path: The surface of the large knife surface is cut thick, the contour of the small knife is thick, and the large knife (ball cutter) is parallel to the milling cutter. The front mold is usually produced with a matching copper male, which is mainly used to open the rough knife path, supplemented by a partial curved light knife.
② With parting surface and pillow surface, it is necessary to work overtime together, the parting surface pillow surface is processed in place, leaving no margin, leaving a cavity of 0.2 ---- 0.5 for sparks. If there is only a young male, leave the remaining 0.3. When both thick and young males are available, a margin of 0.5 can be left. The front mold has a margin of 0.1 for the punch-through position and the wipe-through position, which is used to match the front and rear molds.
③ Use a large-diameter round nose knife (knife handle) when cutting thick. If the diameter of the tool is too small, it is easy to break the knife and the knife. Also try to use it in the middle knife.
④ The tool path range in surface machining is calculated based on the movement path of the tool center axis, that is, the actual machining area is one tool radius larger than one side of the selected tool path range limit box. The parameters of the tool path range limit box must be set reasonably. Avoid processing beyond the actual processing needs.
⑤ The material of the front mold is relatively hard. Please check carefully before processing to reduce errors, and it cannot be easily welded!

A. Mold and product tolerance

② Generally, the size of the accessories on the large body of the shell (such as a transparent mirror) is 0.1-0.2 smaller than the size of the large body on one side.
③ The shape of the movable parts (such as buttons) on the big body is smaller than that of the big body by one side.
④ If the shape of the surface of the accessory is consistent with the shape of the body, it can be trimmed from the corresponding position on the surface of the body.
B. Selection of the lower cutting point of CNC machining center
When programming the tool path, the tool can be lowered at any specified height and position. When the first tool is first processed, the amount of knife is often relatively large, which easily causes broken tools and spring tools. At this time, the lower tool position can be opened thickly and The first layer of the knife goes empty, try to cut the knife outside the material, this problem must be paid attention to.
C. CNC machining center grab knife, spring knife, drop knife
Such a phenomenon often occurs when the feed amount is large, the tool clamping length is too long, and the tool diameter is small.
When the corner radius and the tool radius are the same, it is easy to appear inaccurate external dimensions when processing. It is called grabbing --- you can use a smaller diameter knife to clear the corners, and then change the larger knife to the side. When the depth is low and large, it can be processed in layers.
D. CNC machining center overcut inspection
Overcutting is a common problem that requires special attention. The solution is to simulate the toolpath again and check repeatedly in various directions. The toolpath without inspection is not allowed to be machined. During profile milling, overcutting may occur due to improper selection of the cutting point. You can change the cutting point to avoid it.
